Love is Often the Missing Ingredient When Something dose NOT Feel Right

Mashed Potato including the missing ingredient

Today I am starting the ‘Kitchen’ section of my website.

Tips and Tricks in the Kitchen

Here I will post tips and tricks in the kitchen that can be eaten, used on your body, clean the house or for growing food.

Added to that Cooking Needs to Be Fun

Cooking needs to be fun. For this, we need to be in the moment, honour ourselves, our ingredients and the end result. Are you aware that whatever energy you are carrying when touching food is transferred to the mix…

Feng Shui and the Energy Transfer

During a conversation with a Feng Shui expert, they shared an insight that has never left me. It was about an appointment with a young family; a married couple and two toddlers. Initially, the husband and wife were involved with the consultation until the husband left to prepare the evening meal. On touring the house with the wife, the next stop was the kitchen. The Feng Shui expert asked the husband ‘do you always cook dinner like that?’ He looked up and responded ‘I do’ a little too sharply for comfort. He was banging around in the kitchen and appeared to be disinterested in the meal as he was on the phone, had the tv playing, appeared agitated and rushing every task and to be fair, not really connected to any. The consultant asked both the husband and the wife ‘how did your last meal taste?’ The wife replied after some thought ‘bitter, even the desert, do you remember? I said it at the time, I thought something had gone sour or was out of date’.

Missing Ingredient

In my home, the children can’t get enough of my mashed potato. They tell everyone with pride how delicious it is. As they have grown up and been encouraged to cook a meal for the family each week they refuse to make this potato dish because it never tastes the same even if I measure out the ingredients for them. Through observing them during the process I came to realise what was astray, yes, all the physical ingredients were there, however, the main ingredient was missing

– L O V E –

And when it really taste unpleasant it tastes bitter or bad due to the agitation, frustration or anger injected due to not wanting to use their time to cook for the family. For me, every time I make this potato dish it just gets better because I already know they are going to love it. Knowing this intensifies my higher vibration and is transferred into the meal. It is a ‘given’ for me that on tasting this meal their gratitude leaves me feeling valued and appreciated and for them, a nice full belly.

This highlights, the more appreciated we feel the better we deal with tasks in hand. While self-love is very important for our core well-being, as a human, feeling valued and appreciated by our family, friends, co-workers and boss makes an added difference for our well-being.

Chinese Students

This was further confirmed when I accidentally hosted three Chinese students; a mum, a daughter of 11 and a niece of 12. Being raised on Chinese and Russian food, European food was unique, interesting and different; so was using an oven. Apparently only the very rich have ovens in China so baking a cake rarely happens in a Chinese home. It was my birthday during their stay and the best day of their young lives was when they got to make, bake and ice a cake for us all, pure please to watch. Anyway, I diverse, during their stay I produced meals they absolutely loved and with each day they wanted to help out more. I loved that they did and I can assure you every meal tasted delicious do to this love. My own children somehow found cooking a chore but these girls embraced it, so much so they bought a potato ricer in preparation for making mashed potato when they returned back to China and surprise, surprise – their mashed potato tasted delicious.

L O V E – no other ingredient works better in food, career, relationships, health and life.

Ingredients

Somehow I am not a measuring girl, so I use as many potatoes as I feel are need; any surplus can be stored in the fridge and used over the following couple of days or in the freezer. Yes, mashed potato stores well.

  • Maris Piper Potatoes
  • Water to boil
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Salted Butter
  • Milk
  • LOVE
  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into equal sized pieces, rinse away the starch and place in a saucepan.
  2. Fill and boil the kettle with water and pour over potatoes until they are all covered.
  3. Bring to the boil and simmer until softened.
  4. Drain water using lid or colander.
  5. Work the potatoes through the potato ricer until they are all a nice fluffy consistency.
  6. Add butter and mix together with serving size spoon.
  7. Add milk and stir in until all ingredients are combined.

Voila – Delicious Mashed Potato

From this basic recipe, you can add anything your taste buds desire. We often add spring onion, cheese or both. And on other occasions, we will add brussel sprouts or greens and then fry to make ‘Bubble and Squeak’.

Leftover mashed potato is a gift at any time of the day

To make the mashed potato I totally 100% recommend a potato ricer for smooth lump free potatoes

Make Your Own Essential Oil Deodorant

Turning towards nature to nurture me well

The Healing Energy of Essential Oils

If we think about essential oils we think about healing and caring along with nurture and nature.

In Numerology Essential Oils vibrates at a 6 energy, highlighting its loving caring tendencies to put the needs of others before itself. Over generations and generations it has proven a responsible and trustworthy source to turn to for healing and well-being. It brings our ‘being’ back into balance and that is what the 6 energy does – balance.

Each oil has its own path, healing and realigning our organs, bodies and environment. The oils can be used internally (with care), neat or in fluids, on the body in lotions, creams and hair products, in the air through a vapour machine or burner or for cleaning and sanitising our homes.

Essential Oils have made it their duty to serve us our whole life as would someone on a 6 path. Using Essential Oils creates harmony in the body and the environment and beauty within our skin. You can guarantee the oils will lift your mood and spirit, just as mum does when we slip back home for a pick-me-up..

The benefits of Essential Oils have been underutilised due to modern day processes and sacrificed for profit within the chemical industry. The 6 energy can often find themselves with talent and creativity being left undeveloped or suppressed as a result of their tendency to sacrifice their time, recognition and pleasure in order to provide the service for others.

Ironically or not, according to the 6 vibration, Essential Oils have a natural gift with flowers, gardens, people and animals; clarity that they are natural nurturers. Within this vibration we find counsellors, healers and teachers of special education and ancient traditions. If you are drawn to Essential Oils there is a high chance you have a 6 somewhere in your numbers; I said high chance as this is not always the case and 6 is not the only healing number.

As I have mentioned the oils have been around for eons, waiting for people to reconnect with them; we all have ‘freewill’ which does the deciding for us so what might be holding us back? Education and the way we have been taught. When you think back to feeling ill, what did your parents suggest? Let me guess – ‘Best to go see the doctor’. We have unconsciously programmed ourselves look to a ‘professional’ for advice and not feel our way through it. On top of that homoeopathy and holistic approaches have been forced out of the picture for big ‘pharma’. When people understand these oils are here to serve humanity and not the mighty corporations and as each of us open up to our truth we will see that our creator has provided everything for us to be comfortable and well here on earth if we choose.

The 6 is the most balanced of all numbers and therefore will throw up all contradictions within it just as we do in ourselves. As the healer number, the 6 is able to listen to all sides and help one move to the higher intention which is to best serve the self.

When using Essential Oils beware of their power, follow the guidelines as too much can be an overdose. I read recently that it takes approximately 250lbs of peppermint leaf to make one pound of peppermint essential oil and 1000’s of rose petals to make the same so use sparingly and as directed.

You can use essential oils for a number of things; today I am going to share one of my favourite ways to use Peppermint essential oil within a home made powder recipe for deodorant.

How I started using this natural deodorant is a post for another day, however I will confirm here that I am not an essential oil expert, I made my discoveries by trawling the internet using my truth seeking 7 energy, I have attended a few workshops on making products and have tested them on myself for about a year now.

Homemade Deodorant Powder With Peppermint Essential Oils

Ingredients
1/4 cup of Baking Soda.
1/8 cup of Arrowroot
1/8 cup of Rice Flour
20 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

(You can replace this with Lavender, Lemongrass, Rose, Geranium for ladies and Rosemary, Bergamot or Cypress for men)

Utensils
Small mixing bowl
Fork

To Store
3 small containers with lids
3 make-up pads

Pop all the dry ingredients into the small mixing bowl and with a fork mix until completely together. Next add 20 drops of chosen essential oil, I used Peppermint and quickly mix in to disperse the oils throughout. Scatter as you drop the oils so they don’t all clog in one place.

Separate out into the 3 containers, add the pad and close swiftly to encapsulate the aroma.

To Use
Dab pad in powder and apply to your underarms as necessary.

This leaves me feeling fresh as a daisy or should I say a Peppermint. Sorry got carried away with my thoughts.

Enjoy your time creating and playing in the kitchen, our biggest medicine cabinet.

My share: I do not like to smell stinky and for ages I thought I could not switch from my strong aerosol can of 24 hour, no stains, deodorant and antiperspirant but I have and it really does work for me.
