Love is Often the Missing Ingredient When Something dose NOT Feel Right

Mashed Potato including the missing ingredient

Today I am starting the ‘Kitchen’ section of my website.

Tips and Tricks in the Kitchen

Here I will post tips and tricks in the kitchen that can be eaten, used on your body, clean the house or for growing food.

Added to that Cooking Needs to Be Fun

Cooking needs to be fun. For this, we need to be in the moment, honour ourselves, our ingredients and the end result. Are you aware that whatever energy you are carrying when touching food is transferred to the mix…

Feng Shui and the Energy Transfer

During a conversation with a Feng Shui expert, they shared an insight that has never left me. It was about an appointment with a young family; a married couple and two toddlers. Initially, the husband and wife were involved with the consultation until the husband left to prepare the evening meal. On touring the house with the wife, the next stop was the kitchen. The Feng Shui expert asked the husband ‘do you always cook dinner like that?’ He looked up and responded ‘I do’ a little too sharply for comfort. He was banging around in the kitchen and appeared to be disinterested in the meal as he was on the phone, had the tv playing, appeared agitated and rushing every task and to be fair, not really connected to any. The consultant asked both the husband and the wife ‘how did your last meal taste?’ The wife replied after some thought ‘bitter, even the desert, do you remember? I said it at the time, I thought something had gone sour or was out of date’.

Missing Ingredient

In my home, the children can’t get enough of my mashed potato. They tell everyone with pride how delicious it is. As they have grown up and been encouraged to cook a meal for the family each week they refuse to make this potato dish because it never tastes the same even if I measure out the ingredients for them. Through observing them during the process I came to realise what was astray, yes, all the physical ingredients were there, however, the main ingredient was missing

– L O V E –

And when it really taste unpleasant it tastes bitter or bad due to the agitation, frustration or anger injected due to not wanting to use their time to cook for the family. For me, every time I make this potato dish it just gets better because I already know they are going to love it. Knowing this intensifies my higher vibration and is transferred into the meal. It is a ‘given’ for me that on tasting this meal their gratitude leaves me feeling valued and appreciated and for them, a nice full belly.

This highlights, the more appreciated we feel the better we deal with tasks in hand. While self-love is very important for our core well-being, as a human, feeling valued and appreciated by our family, friends, co-workers and boss makes an added difference for our well-being.

Chinese Students

This was further confirmed when I accidentally hosted three Chinese students; a mum, a daughter of 11 and a niece of 12. Being raised on Chinese and Russian food, European food was unique, interesting and different; so was using an oven. Apparently only the very rich have ovens in China so baking a cake rarely happens in a Chinese home. It was my birthday during their stay and the best day of their young lives was when they got to make, bake and ice a cake for us all, pure please to watch. Anyway, I diverse, during their stay I produced meals they absolutely loved and with each day they wanted to help out more. I loved that they did and I can assure you every meal tasted delicious do to this love. My own children somehow found cooking a chore but these girls embraced it, so much so they bought a potato ricer in preparation for making mashed potato when they returned back to China and surprise, surprise – their mashed potato tasted delicious.

L O V E – no other ingredient works better in food, career, relationships, health and life.

Ingredients

Somehow I am not a measuring girl, so I use as many potatoes as I feel are need; any surplus can be stored in the fridge and used over the following couple of days or in the freezer. Yes, mashed potato stores well.

  • Maris Piper Potatoes
  • Water to boil
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Salted Butter
  • Milk
  • LOVE
  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into equal sized pieces, rinse away the starch and place in a saucepan.
  2. Fill and boil the kettle with water and pour over potatoes until they are all covered.
  3. Bring to the boil and simmer until softened.
  4. Drain water using lid or colander.
  5. Work the potatoes through the potato ricer until they are all a nice fluffy consistency.
  6. Add butter and mix together with serving size spoon.
  7. Add milk and stir in until all ingredients are combined.

Voila – Delicious Mashed Potato

From this basic recipe, you can add anything your taste buds desire. We often add spring onion, cheese or both. And on other occasions, we will add brussel sprouts or greens and then fry to make ‘Bubble and Squeak’.

Leftover mashed potato is a gift at any time of the day

To make the mashed potato I totally 100% recommend a potato ricer for smooth lump free potatoes

What Does Numerology Confirm about Being a Mother

‘Mothers’ – Some people can’t live with them and others can’t live without them but in all cases, none of us would be here if it were not for them. Women take on a massive life changing experience to carry a baby from conception to birth and whether the baby stays with mum or not it will always be a miracle between mum and the fertile egg that evolved within her.

From this perspective, mothers are the nearest thing to God regarding miracles and somehow, even when raising children, mums just seem to have a magical inner sense and knowing about her cubs. As the saying goes’ mum knows best when observing her child.

What happens when we step into the role of being a mother? I took a look through Numerology and the numbers to understand more. The whole name of Mother adds to a 7. This gives us the expression; which includes the talents, skills and shortfalls that arise from the role of mother.

The vibration from the name Mother brings to us a person with an analytical mind and a huge desire to understand answers to life’s hidden questions and each and every one of her children. It is through our children that we discover so much more than just a relationship; we dabble in philosophy, mysticism and even science. I remember with my third baby, the children and I explored what was going on inside mummy’s tummy and how the baby was growing.

A mother has a great sense of knowing and a yearning to seek the truth for both herself and her offspring. And so begins the journey and evolution from a singular lifestyle to one of life’s greatest teachers tirelessly working to prepare and guide her children for the outside world.

Like all numbers, the 7 Energy Expression Number will have challenges, hurdles and obstacles that with the love for her child will have mum endlessly do due diligence over and over to avoids risk and pain to her offspring. The scepticism and other lower aspects of this 7 Energy could cause mum to hold onto to her cubs too tightly or for too long stunting emotional and mental growth of her cubs. Wrapping children in cotton wool is not a realistic approach to supporting the child’s long-term growth. Look to understand the difference between illusion and reality. As a mother, you are able to tune into your fine and exquisite mind to find insight for the next step forward. Allow your child to fall at times, understand you will not always be there in every moment and they need to be able to pick themselves up and dust down to expand.

Mums, be conscious that you are still a person that needs love, care, peace and time out, ‘me time’ to rejuvenate and repair. By awarding this to yourself you will be better equipped to call upon solutions and clarity during difficult and challenging times. I can not emphasise enough that you need time to be by yourself.  Too much social interaction can cause stress, fatigue and leave you depleted. You also need your privacy and a place that you can shut off from the hustle and bustle of life. ‘Children, toilet breaks are for mum and need to be in private even in the early days’. There needs to be a transition period and in today’s fast paced and over protected world this seems to have been overlooked.

As women. you have gone from an adult and a ‘me’ world to a baby/child world, which is almost all about them. This challenges the intellectual 7 who craves stimuli to the brain. It is the thinking number. How many times have you heard a mother mention she feels brain dead after spending endless hours and days with a toddler? Somehow in this role you tend to keep your thoughts to yourself, it is here that you stop being you and appear to wear the labels of mum, mother, Jenny or Charlie’s mum and then comes the day when you realise you refer to your children’s friends mums as someone’s mum and are now guilty of not seeing the amazing woman before you or her seeing you for that matter. Yes being a mum can steal your identity.

At the same time being a mother will give you experience and growth no other job can. As a mum, you suddenly appear to know it all, or at least you think you do and when you watch other mums you may well find yourself judging their capability and parenting practices. Lol! They are on a similar journey to you and the difference lies in each persona’s Numerology stacked up behind the role of ‘Mother’. However watching other mums, you could become over-protective and when Charlie asks can he go to Ryan’s house for tea, you forget Charlie and Ryan’s friendship and make the decision on how you see the mum. That’s not to say Charliedoes not get out for tea but your 7 energy will make sure you know endless information about Ryan’s family background and their history, after all, Charlie is priceless to you and there is no bond greater than the metaphorical umbilical cord between mother and child. Seriously, is it ever cut; their pain is your pain as is their joy.

The ‘seven’ vibration is the seeker and searcher and every step of the way in your child’s life you will be doing this, what baby food, best nursery, followed by every level of schooling and education and you will go to the end of the earth to have your child in the place you feel is best. There is not a role that you won’t perfect and your child will become your greatest motivator in skills that you never dreamed possible for you. The 7 seeks mastery.

The 7 energy highlights a mother to have great counselling skills and when we add the 11/2 energy from this name vibration of Mother; the heart energy we are adding into the mix; mediation, cooperation, harmony, support and intuition.

When we look at the 7 in the role of mother and the rewards, they will seldom come in the form of material gain but in contentment from a higher source.

A mother, no matter her age appears to acquire wisdom beyond her years. The heart energy of a mother is one of peacemaker. You have a hidden ability to settle conflicts and create harmony. You are a healer and a visionary. Think of all the sibling squabbles you have worked through and how you have created a vision when things have been tough and you have had to lead the family through.

Have you ever noticed how intuitive a mother is? She seems to know stuff without the children sharing, where things are or what the children want or needs. Mother’s are magic and they do have eyes in the back of their head. A mother wants to please often at the cost of her own well-being; this is where a good supportive partner and father come in but we will leave dad for Father’s Day. The 11/2 and the 7 combination have a mother ‘feel for’ and understand others, dad and each of her children – we need to remember though that the others, dad and the children need to assist and support mum by not being selfish and thinking they are the only one to get their desire. As a mediator mum wants to find the solutions but she needs a willing team.

Now while we have been looking at the inner self of Mother, let’s take a brief look at the external self. This shows up in the 5 energy, adventurous, stimulating, sociable, communicative and charismatic, how else does a mum enter a class full of primary school children and have them willingly read or bake with her. Added to this the 5 brings big energy and a willingness to learn new things.

This is the number where mum gets her negotiation skills from and her enthusiasm to play the same games over and over, whether football or Barbies and still make each time feel like the first time. This 5 energy gives mum’s the adaptability to automatically pick up the role of educator, chauffeur, chef, care-giver, story-teller or organiser, while at the same time, be ready at any moment for whatever may suddenly drop into her lap.

A point of warning here – mum’s are not robots and on day’s like today (Mother’s Day), her birthday and from some period throughout every day mum’s should be credited, valued and appreciated for the Super Hero in them to manage to always pull things together.

Let your mum know how special she is. Remember to say thank you for your washing, your meals and your clean home. And accept that all lifts are a gift, whether to school, a friends or work. Mother’s are the most hardworking people you will ever meet at home, in the community and at work and they do it all without payment. So chip in, help out, unload the dishwasher, run the vacuum around the house and put your laundry in the basket, she is your mum and not your servant. Without her, you would be just a pipe dream.

May today be a day your family look after you so that you get to sit back and observe your clan for a change opposed to being in the midst of them. It will give you an alternative perspective. Mums enjoy your cubs for one day they will fly the nest and embark on their own journey which you will have laid the foundations for.

And mums, remember you too have a mother

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to the 2 billion mums across the globe even if today is not officially Mother’s Day for you, you still deserve a mention.

Family

Do we Die Because we are Old Or Because we have Stopped Starting?

4 Generations and 3 Major Stages of Numerology

Numerology

Age is just a number and to a Numerologist, the number is an indication of what you could be doing at each moment in time. The numbers work in a Cycle of 9, it is that simple, with ‘one’ denoting a new beginning and ‘nine’ an ending. What most people fail to see is that endings throughout life are inevitable, end of breastfeeding, crawling, nursery, school, a relationship, a job, a home location etc., and yet life has not ended for in the very next moment there is a new beginning – solid food, walking, school, university or a career, other friendships, promotion or a change of career, possibly parenthood and a new home that works better for your circumstances.

Great Video Looking at Age

I saw this video today and wanted to share how narrow-minded some of us can be and how with a little more knowledge we can open up to see things differently.

Do we die because we are old?

Or do we die because we have stopped starting?

Learn something new every day. Stretch and grow the mind, expand your heart and see every age has its benefits. This art to living lies in fulfilment. Your soul seeks only one thing – fulfilment. Fulfilment comes in many guises, joy, peace, clarity, connection, compassion, acceptance, release, love; love for the self, the environment and the things you do. Feel this every day and you will feel alive and in harmony with your soul.

All too often people live in the past – ‘I use to be a size 10’, ‘I was fitter before marriage or kids’ or they spend too much time in the future ‘When I achieve this I will’ or ‘When I am in the perfect relationship I will’ but when you live in the NOW and connect with how you feel, you can realign yourself constantly to be the best you in every moment. It is called the ‘present’ because it is a gift from the universe.

The Major Cycles

Numerology highlights many Cycles and while I am on the topic of age I share that we will move through 3 major cycles/stages during a full lifetime;

Initial stage – youthful and impressionable, you will be collecting downloads from family, friends, communities and teachers. You look externally for guidance. Towards the end of this stage, you begin to question yourself as your self-reliance grows and you prepare to move into the second cycle.

Middle stage – adulthood and relationship, you will work through the initial beliefs discarding some and emphasising others. Now you are learning and acknowledging your individuality, this takes place in three stages:

  • first, how to handle the responsibility;
  • second understanding the ethics behind compromise;
  • third, understanding yourself through others. In this cycle, you begin to acknowledge your role in society.

Third stage – wisdom and self-acceptance, you will experience life on a deeper level; you will share openly with others your experience and learnings. You will also receive recognition for your insight, wisdom and guidance.

Life is all about being you; living on purpose and serving your mission through your own unique individuality and essence.

Next time you consider you are feeling old alter your perspective for only with age can wisdom blossom. Next time you have an ache or pain consider what you are blocking and let go of blaming age for the cause. And next time you meet an ending STOP for a moment and be grateful for just around the corner a new beginning is coming to you.

NEVER stop growing and learning. Remain young and inquisitive at heart. Be curious. Let go of fear and be open to love.

What might be in store for you when you open up to understanding Numerology?

Here is a quick chart to see what your Major Cycles have in store for you.

Major Cycles

All numbers are reduced down to a single digit accept 11 and 22. There is no twenty-second month, hence the dash in First Major Stage column.Example of reducing December month 12 (1 + 2 = 3) December is a 3 Month cycle

December month 12 (1 + 2 = 3) December is a 3 Month cycle

Example of reducing the number 24 (2 + 4 = 6) 24 is a 6 day second cycle

Example of reducing the number 1989 (1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 27) (2 + 7 = 9) is a 9 year third cycle

While you may currently be in a ‘dependable’ stage (birth month 8), your next segment could be ‘adventuresome’ (birth day 5) – that’s how my path has been going and in a number of years time I will be in my third stage so best keep creating new adventures so that I can take my experiences into my wisdom cycle. What might your birthday reveal about you and your cycles?

How does this make you feel?

Share in the comments box. I would love to hear about the Path you have chosen in this Lifetime.

My History with Pythagoras

What Pythagoras Taught Me
What Pythagoras Taught Me

Origin of Numerology
There have been several schools of numerology. The Chinese, Mayans, Japanese, Hebrews, Incas and Christians all followed a number system to gain deeper understanding and knowledge of themselves and the universe. The most recent school of numerology or ‘western’ numerology was founded by Pythagoras who travelled from Samos in Greece via Egypt to Croton in Italy, combining Arabic, Phoenician and other mathematical sciences. Numerology was the basis or foundation for many secret societies along with the Law of Attraction.

It has been said that Hebrew scholars have used numerology to interpret sacred text and the earliest form of writing found on a turtle shell was number symbols.

Western Numerology – Pythagorean
There was a time when no action was taken until the numbers were checked for guidance and in the sixth century BC the great Greek Philosopher, Pythagoras created the modern Western version that is widely used today. If this name rings a bell cast your mind back to your school days where you would most likely have studied the ‘Pythagorean Theorem’ –

a²+b²=c²

Duality and Energy
I believe that duality exists in this realm; accepting there are two sides to everything opens us up to accepting numbers are not there solely to count our change from the corner store but to read energy and vibration. If you have thought about how you feel in certain situations or that you find certain numbers appear lucky or not so lucky for you then you are noticing the energetic vibration. According to Science we are, and everything is, energy.

Numerology is a language of numbers that allows you to open your mind to information readily available to see that perhaps you may never see or take a much longer route to receive.

How does numerology relate to you?
It is believed that all numbers carry a vibrational energy of varying aspects and can shine light on your path, what is going on around you and inside you.

With just two basic pieces of information

Date of Birth
Name given at birth as written on your birth certificate

A numerologist can highlight challenges and opportunities, life lessons, skills and traits, your hearts desire, when to start and complete projects and so much more.

When I started to study numerology I soon came to realise these two pieces of information held my very own personal ‘Blueprint’, a map, a manual of what I came here to accomplish.

To get further confirmation on this I started to work out family and friends numbers and found I was able to describe a pattern in their lives. Initially I worked on their history because that had been written; when I shared they gave me feedback to confirm my findings. With much confirmation I then thought if this works backwards, perhaps it could work forward and with this thought I began to predict and now that time has passed, this too has been proven.

Understanding my numbers has explained so much to me that I have slowly been able to let go of my past and the story, with the numbers I have learned to read the energy I am vibrating at, I no longer rush things if there is any resistance, I let go and let be.

What would you like to let go of?

The Soul’s Map

Numerology
Numerology

What is Numerology?

First I will share Numerology…
• Is not maths, although it entails some basic arithmetic.
• Is not complicated, even considering it is an ancient science.
• And it does not involve a paint brush just because it can be referred to as art.

Numerology…
• Is a language of numbers
• Is about vibrations and energy
• Is a guidebook to your life’s purpose and fulfilment

How to know if you are ready for Numerology

Have you ever wondered why you are the way you are and do what you do?
Have you ever felt you don’t fit in some places and groups?
Do you feel there is something missing but you can’t place your finger on it?
Are there times you are in flow and then BAM! Are you not?
Do you feel that you are pushing against everything or coming last while others are passing you by?
Are you ready to ignite the spark within?
Are you ready said the butterfly to the caterpillar?

Can you imagine how much easy life would be if you had the handbook? I have mine and boy oh boy does it make a difference. No, it is not a crystal ball and psst… I am not even sure crystal balls work. I look at Numerology as a personal energy calendar.

To explain further, your name and date of birth were no mistakes; your Soul chose them both. With the guidance of Counsel, your Soul created a map and guidebook especially for you and left it hidden within your date of birth. Everything was taken into consideration for your Soul’s growth with plenty of markers along the way.

I am here to tell you that all that has happened to you, you created.

Yes, you, totally 100%.

The vibration of your energy and your quest has led you to both fortune and misfortune; they would be the words of an earthling for in the greater perspective of the enlightened one nothing is good or bad, it all just is. Using Numerology to reconnect to your souls will enable you to comprehend this and in turn, your intuition will increase and you will see the guidance. Nothing is a misfortune or a mistake once you are able to see the gift of guidance in it.

I will also share at this point that we are not our body but we do spend much of our time in it. I look at the body as my earth spacesuit and needs to be worn and maintained in order to live on this planet.

While our date of birth shares the map, it is our name of birth that highlights our tools. Some of us are born creative, some intelligent and academic and others good for business. How we do this depends on our numbers and can be nudged left or right depending on how our Freewill is playing out.

Here is a brief idea of what each Path has come to understand, overcome and grow from;

1. Dealing with the ego self
2. Communication and interaction within relationships
3. Social interaction and self-acceptance
4. Procrastination, control and limitations
5. Change, diversity and adaptability
6. Responsibility to family and community
7. Trust and faith
8. Personal power and recognition
9. Selflessness and humanity

How to calculate which Path you are on is as follows:-

For this exercise, we will take the date of birth down to a single digit. For the record, though a double number like 11, 22 or 33 have an extra challenge as they are Master numbers but first they must overcome the single number.

Let’s take the date 25/12/1959

25 = 2 + 5 = 7
12 = 1 + 2 = 3
1959 = 1 + 9 + 5 + 9 = 24 = 2 + 4 = 6

7 + 3 + 6 = 16 = 1 + 7 = 8

The person with this date of birth has chosen a Path to evolve further regarding personal power and recognition. Understanding this will allow them to see the challenges and obstacles before them are not to stop them but are opportunities of learning for growth.

Why don’t you work out your Life Path number to see what you have chosen to learn about in this lifetime?

Please feel free to share in the comments box. Does it resonate with you?
